Gentle I Calm I Relaxed
Hypnosis is a naturally induced state of relaxed concentration – there is no magic to achieving success with self-hypnosis. Almost anyone can reach deep relaxation and redirected focus. When we are deeply relaxed (which is all self-hypnosis is) we can communicate with the subconscious mind, the part of our minds that influences our beliefs, imagination and choices we make.
Using the techniques you will learn on the course, you will experience feelings similar to daydreaming or when you are engrossed in a good book. You will be totally aware of what’s going on around you, but totally relaxed and fully in control. There's nothing weird or wacky about it, just a lovely feeling of relaxation!
You will be aware of what’s happening to your body and determine the extent to which you feel your birthing sensations. When you are deeply relaxed, your body creates its own natural anaesthesia (endorphins) which replace the stress hormones that create pain. You will look forward to welcoming your baby into an atmosphere of calm, joy and relaxation and be rewarded with a wonderful, positive birth experience that you will remember and reflect upon with nothing but fondness.
